- Cookies: To login, you need to have "cookies" turned on in your browser preferences. We use session cookies to track your bookshelf. When you close your browser, the session cookies are removed. If you are stuck in a Login Loop -- where you login, a message says you have successfully logged in, but then it sends you back to the login page -- then you most likely do not have cookies turned on.
- Firewalls: Firewalls can also block cookies and cause login trouble. Speak to your firewall administrator for help. If you have a "personal firewall" you can turn it off for your MyiLibrary Audio session, and you may also have to change security setting in you browser.

- Where are MyiLibrary Audio audiobooks stored on my computer?
-
For PC Users the audiobook files are stored in MyDocuments/My imm Media.
For Mac Users the audiobook files are stored ~/Music/imm Media.
- I can't download any audiobooks from MyiLibrary Audio. What should I do?
- Firewalls: Sometimes firewalls (including the new "personal firewalls" being introduced for home use) can affect downloading. Contact the firewall administrator or the company that makes the firewall for help. You may have to lower the security settings on both your personal firewall and browser.
- Download Manager Programs: Some people use special programs designed to "help" download files (typically, the software will let the user restart a download that had failed before completing). GoZilla is one of the most popular. Some of these programs, in fact, are inflexible or are setup incorrectly, and can cause trouble with specific types of downloads, especially the kind at our library. Try turning the software off and then downloading.
- Internet Problems: Sometimes there are temporary problems on the Internet that can cause a download to fail. Often, if you close all of your browser windows, wait just a few minutes, then try the download again, it will work.
- My audiobook did not download completely. What should I do?
- Begin by checking the disk space on your computer and make sure you have enough space for the audiobook you are trying to download.
-
Next, check your network connection and make sure it is up and functioning normally.
- If you have enough disk space and your network connection is functioning normally, return to your bookshelf in MyiLibrary Audio and start the download again.
- I put my audiobook on a CD, but it won't play.
- The capability to transfer an audiobook to CD is determined by the publisher.
The DRM (Digital Rights Management) can be found in the Usage Rights section of the Product Detail Page of each title.
- How much space does an audiobook take up on a portable device?
- The size of the file depends on the title. A good rule of thumb is to expect each hour of your audiobook to take up 14 MB once it’s transferred to your device.
Examples:
- A Shadow Audio Double-Feature: Starring Orson Welles; 1hr, 16min; 18 Megabytes
- Master & Commander; 13hours, 182 Megabytes
- Scourby Old Testament; 55hrs; 770 Megabytes
- How long does it take to transfer an audiobook to a portable device?
- Many factors can affect the transfer time of an audiobook -- your processor speed, how much RAM you have, and the length of the audiobook.
- The type of device you are using will also affect the transfer speed. For example, if you are using an iPod, the transfer should only take 20 to 30 minutes. If you are using Windows Media Player, the process can take several hours. Windows Media Player requires that the audiobook file be converted to another format before transferring to a portable device.
- Will my audiobooks be added to my iTunes or Windows Media Player library?
- If you are using an iPod, the audiobook will NOT be added to your iTunes library. Ingram Media Manager will use iTunes to transfer the audiobook, but it will not add it to your iTunes library.
- If you are using one of the other supported portable devices along with Windows Media Player, your audiobooks will automatically be added to your Windows Media Player library. These files will stay in your library as secure WMA files, and can be played from within Windows Media Player or on your portable device.
- I can't transfer audiobooks to my WMA compatible device.
- Make sure the WMA compatible device is connected to your computer.
- Check the amount of space on your device and make sure there is enough room for the audiobook you are transferring.
- Make sure your internet connection is up and working normally. Windows Media Player must be connected to the internet to transfer an audiobook to a portable device.
- Make sure your Windows Media Player is version 11 or higher. If not, upgrade Windows Media Player.
- Where can I get more information about Windows Media Player?
- Microsoft's Windows Media Player FAQ
- Where can I get more information about iTunes?
- Apple's Support Page for iTunes
- I have a problem that is not listed here. What should I do?
